Calabash Music is a high quality and comprehensive world music website that has received praise from many prestigious organisations including National Geographic, Wall Street Journal, and The Independent, and provides listeners with access to music playlists via the Calabash Music Player.
The quality of music available, together with the speed and ease with which their music player delivers it's content, makes Calabash Music an attractive alternative to other popular music playlist services - and together with brightcove, they have also created a tremendous free music video channel service.
CalPlaylists is an unofficial fan site of sorts and was created to bring together the benefits of the Calabash Music website with those of the Content Management System Joomla. The name Joomla by the way is a phonetic spelling for the Swahili word 'Jumla', which means 'all together' or 'as a whole'.
Given their awareness of the value that is found in a culturally rich and diverse community, it seems natural that these two organisations would work well together, and that's what CalPlaylists is all about - delivering simple, valuable, community orientated products and services that make your day more enjoyable and productive.
Enjoy the music and stay tuned for more extensions boasting further integration with Joomla!
